"If blood is the price of independence, then Bangladesh has paid the highest price in history"- London Times (1971).

December 16, 2021, marks the golden jubilee celebrations of Bangladesh’s independence from Pakistan. On December 16, 1971, Bangladesh was born as an independent country at the cost of the ultimate sacrifice of three million martyrs and the honour of nearly half a million women.

We, Bangladesh Sports club Canberra (BDSCC), convey our heartiest good wish to the Canberra Bangladeshi Community and express our gratitude to the martyrs and their families whose sacrifices have shaped our fate as a rising Asian giant. Let us celebrate our Victory Day by upholding the values and spirit of the brave freedom fighters, but also through a renewed commitment to our motherland, Bangladesh. In the spirit of the glorious days of 1971, BDSCC aspires to represent Bangladeshi people, culture, traditions, and sports in Canberra, Australia and beyond.

To mark this momentous occasion of our golden jubilee victory celebration, we proudly launch our new official website: https://www.bdscc.com.au. Our new website aims to connect and engage Bangladeshi community members living in Australia and promote the culture of togetherness through sporting and cultural activities. The details of our activities and events are available on the website.

BDSCC wishes you and your family an amazing victory day. Let’s continue to work relentlessly for our beautiful country and nation.
